MOUSEPAD SPACE ESTIMATOR

Mousepad Size Calculator

Estimate the horizontal mouse space a 180° turn needs, with optional repositioning margin.

Full turn—cm/360
Half turn—cm/180
Width with margin—cm suggested
QUICK ANSWER

What mousepad size do I need?

A practical starting estimate for a quick 180° movement is half of your cm/360 distance, plus 25% repositioning space. It is an estimate rather than an official gaming standard; use your actual mouse placement and usable pad width.

Lower sensitivity requires more space

At lower sensitivity, the same 180° turn requires more physical hand movement, so a larger mousepad can help. This tool estimates usable horizontal width and does not account for keyboard overlap, sensor lift-off or arm movement angle.

Suggested width = cm/360 ÷ 2 × 1.25

If your available mousepad is smaller, a turn may still be possible by lifting and repositioning the mouse. The calculator is not a shopping recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Does a high-sensitivity player need a larger pad?

Not for turn distance alone. Lower sensitivity generally needs more mouse movement and therefore more pad width.

Is a 25% margin required?

No. It is an explicit practical allowance used by this estimator, and may not suit every player.

Do I measure the full or usable width?

Measure usable width after accounting for keyboard overlap, stitched edges and mouse resting position.
