Compare Two Sensitivity Setups

Check how a new DPI and sensitivity combination changes turn speed in the same game.

eDPI——
cm/360——

QUICK ANSWER

How do I compare mouse sensitivities?

For the same game, calculate each eDPI by multiplying mouse DPI and sensitivity (converting percentages where needed). Percentage change in turn speed = (new eDPI ÷ old eDPI − 1) × 100.

What the comparison means

If the eDPI of both setups is equal, their modeled full-turn distances are equal. If setup B has 25% higher eDPI, it turns 25% farther for the same mouse travel, while its cm/360 is 20% lower. The difference in distance is not the same percentage as the difference in turn speed.

Do not use this percentage comparison to compare eDPI from different games. Use the cross-game converter instead.

Frequently asked questions

Does 25% more eDPI mean 25% less cm/360?

No. cm/360 is inversely proportional to eDPI: a 25% faster setup requires 1/1.25 = 80% of the old travel distance, which is 20% less.

Does this work if DPI changes?

Yes. Both DPI and sensitivity are included for each setup.

Can I compare two different games?

This comparison is within one game. Use the cross-game sensitivity converter for different games.
